WATCH: 5 Battlezone FC contenders in previous bouts ahead of Battlezone 17

Take a look at Tom Moore, Alex O’Sullivan, Ivan Blanita, Andrejs Laksa and Paddy Symes in action before Battlezone 17.

Battlezone FC

There’s not long to go now.

Battlezone FC 17 is booked for Saturday 19 August and with just under two weeks to go, we’re looking back at some of the fights (professional and amateur) that those booked for the Trinity Sports Centre have been involved in previously.

Tom Moore

Having just made his professional debut, Sharkbait’s Tom Moore (1-0) goes up against SBGi’s Dylan Logan (0-2) in a professional featherweight bout. Here he is at Cage Legacy 3 last month.

Alexander O’Sullivan

Alex O’Sullivan will face Lee Hammond in the title decider for the Lightweight division. With a 12-3 amateur record thus far, C-MAC’s O’Sullivan has some serious mileage under his belt in the last two years. Here he is in action last year against James Williams.

Ivan Blanita

Team Ryano’s Blanita takes on SBGi’s Jack Hamill at Welterweight. Having dropped a decision to John Mitchell at Cage Legacy 3 in July, he’ll be looking to bounce back into the win column. Before the loss, he’d finished Diarmaid Donnelly inside the first round at Akuma FC 10 in April of this year.

Andrejs Laksa

Andrejs Laksa (2-1, Amateur) takes on Diarmuid Ó Buachalla (1-2, Amateur) in the night’s other welterweight clash. Can he turn a two fight win streak into three? Here he is against Tadhg Linnane at Clan Wars 28 this past June.

Paddy Symes

Paddy Symes (Team Ryano) has come up in conversation over on the third Rambling Rhinos podcast, with many regarding Symes as a bright prospect for the future. Picking up his second amateur win in April this year, he takes to Battlezone for a bantamweight bout with SBG Portarlington’s Darryl Byrne. Check out his Akuma 10 appearance below.

Battlezone FC 17 takes place on Saturday 19 August at the Trinity Sports Centre, Donaghmede, Dublin. Tickets are available here.
