One more sleep.
That’s all there is between now and the UFC 214 main event.
On Friday afternoon at the official weigh-ins the main event for this weekend’s UFC 214 card was secured as Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones bought made weight with no issues.
Cormier, the first out and assisted by a towel (and hands off this time out), clocked 205lbs on the button. Jones, looking in fine physique, tipped the scales at 204.5lbs.
With the last official hurdle out of the way, things are looking good for Saturday night.
Granted, there’s bound to be a whole section of fans who won’t believe the bout is going ahead until both men are actually in the cage, door locked and ready to go. But I’ll hazard this is a safe a bet as it ever could be.
In the co-main event, both Tyron Woodley and Demian Maia clocked in at 170lbs while Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino and Tonya Evinger also made the official weight at 145lbs for their featherweight title clash.
