Sidney Wheeler set for Brave return in Morocco this August

Sidney Wheeler, due to appear at Brave 13 in Belfast has been confirmed for the promotion’s Morocco card in August.

Having missed out on a spot at Brave 13, Sidney Wheeler has been confirmed for the upcoming Brave 14 event in Tangier, Morocco.

The All-American Kid was due to face Mohammad Fakhreddine at Brave 13: European Evolution in Belfast in June but injury to Fakhreddine, then Wheeler, forced the bout from the final card.

Dalton USA’s Wheeler (8-2) trains out of Blalock’s International Mixed Martial Arts and Boxing Academy under Chet Blalock.

He made his first and only other Brave appearance at Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises in March this year, taking a split decision victory over Poland’s Pawl Kielek.

Wheeler will be face Abdoul Abdouraguimov at Brave 14 on Saturday 18 August.

Abdouraguimov (7-0, 1NC) is among the latest talent signed by Brave Combat Federation in 2018 as the Bahrain-based promotion continue a rapid roster expansion.

Signing a multi-fight deal, the trip to Morocco in August this will be Abdouraguimov’s Brave debut.

Brave 14 will be the first global mixed martial arts event to take place in the continent of Africa. A victory is crucial for both the fighters for their future goals at the Brave Combat Federation. The bout will be featured live on StarSat, VodaComm, Abu Dhabi Sports and Combate.

Brave Combat Federation have also announced they will be partnering with more platforms to cover the event live in Europe, Asia and North America.

Full details are expected before August.
