It’s all going down in Newcastle this December.
BAMMA couldn’t go to Newcastle without getting Ryan ‘Big Baby’ Scope on the card, and that’s exactly what’s happening this December as the hometown boy is set to take on Mickael ‘Ragnar’ Lebout.
Scope (10-1), one of the top-ranked lightweights in the UK and Ireland took the first defeat of his professional career in the co-main event of M4TC 23 this past February, dropping a first round submission loss to Wales’ Lewis Long (15-4).
The end-of-year bout is Scope’s first appearance under the BAMMA banner since collecting a decision win over three rounds against Ali Arish at BAMMA 15: Thompson vs. Selmani.
With the overall BAMMA Lightweight title still unoccupied, the stage is set for both fighters to make a claim for the 155 strap.
Lebout (16-7-2) hasn’t finished a fight for a victory since 2014, going the distance in his past eight bouts including a stop off at UFC Fight Night 76: Holohan v Smolka in 2015, through Cage Warriors (2016) and most recently, a win over Russia’s Rashad Muradov in the co-main event this past may at Octogone: 1st Edition.
BAMMA Newcastle will take place on Friday 15th December. Tickets are on sale now at bamma.com
