Phil Campbell is the latest Irish name to head to Brave as the Belfast man is set to take up commentary duties.
Brave Combat Federation announced on Wednesday that Campbell will be joining Noel O’Keeffe behind the microphone for Brave 16.
The Bahrain-based promotion’s next out is a return to Abu Dhabi for Brave 16 on Friday 21 September.
An undefeated fighter in his own right, Campbell was recently part of the BBC’s coverage of Clan Wars, a first for the Northern promotion, and the TV network.
“I’ve been a fighter, cornerman and coach at IFS martial arts centre Belfast and now I’m embracing the newest chapter in my martial arts journey by taking up commentary”, said Campbell on the news reveal.
“When I was in rehab after an injury and couldn’t compete, I got the opportunity to commentate alongside Noel O’Keeffe.”
“We clicked instantly and soon realised we had the exact same love, enthusiasm and passion for MMA. We bring that passion and enthusiasm to every fight making it a celebration from bell to bell.”
“I’m so happy, humbled and honoured to be a part of Brave Combat Federation and can’t wait to get started on the absolutely stacked Brave 16, with not one but two world titles on the line.”
Brave 16 heads for the Mubadala Arena and will be topped by two title fights – Elias Boudegzdame and Bubba Jenkins contest the featherweight title while Carlston Harris and Jarrah Al Selawe contest the welterweight title.
