“I am 100% confident to smash him up” – fighting talk from Norman Parke.

The Next Generation fighter has been looking good in his build up to Brave 13 in Belfast on Saturday 9 June. He’s also talking with confidence ahead of the Irish duo’s rematch.

As the fight night draws near, Parke (24-6-1) is confident to outgun his old nemesis in the fight game. With the bout scheduled as a catchweight (73kg), he is confident to overcome the challenge he faced to make weight.

When it comes to the skill level, he believes that Kilkenny’s own ‘Magic’ Myles Price (10-6) has improved his skill set from that of their first encounter with the support of Team Ryano. Price trains under Andy Ryan and alongside the likes of UFC veterans Paul Redmond and Neil Seery, as well as running his own facility in Kilkenny and training alongside Mick Brennan and Andy ‘The Carlow Kid’ Murphy.

However, Parke believes that much hasn’t changed when it comes to the outcome due to the sheer level of experience he has gained facing some of the toughest fighters, competing in multiple promotions around the world.

While Price poked fun at Parke’s weight issues in recent days, Parke has fired back with shots of his own.

“He knows deep down that I am the strongest”, says Parke this week ahead of June’s fight.

“I am not being too cocky about my skills. I had fought tough opponents in most of the top promotions in the world. In the end in a fight you don’t know what will happen.”

“He can say all these things as his mind games. But I am 100% confident to smash him up. My B game is enough to beat you, but you should still bring your A game and hope to survive. My experience exceeds Myles’ hope.”

Parke v Price 2 serves as the co-main event of Brave 13 in Belfast’s SSE Arena on Saturday 9 June. It’s the first trip to Europe for Brave Combat Federation and the night, with a 14-fight card, will be topped by the Bantamweight showdown of Stephen ‘The Sniper’ Loman and Frans ‘The Black Mamba’ Mlambo.

Tickets are still available via Ticketmaster outlets and online at ticketmaster.ie. Gates open at the SSE Arena, Belfast, at 5pm on fight night.
