Jeremy Pacatiw is breaking records at Brave Combat Federation even before he steps into the cage.

Signing on for Brave 14 in Tangier, Morocco next month, Pacatiw (6-3) becomes Brave’s most decorated veteran (appearances) and also the first Phillippines fighter to compete in a global MMA event in Africa.

Pacatiw trains out of Team Lakay alongside Brave bantamweight champion Stephen ‘The Sniper’ Loman. It will be his sixth outing for Brave, though he’s suffered defeat in his last two bouts, most recently a decision loss to Kaan Ofli in May at Brave 12.

When Pacatiw steps into the cage in Tangier, he’ll be up against Detroit’s Keith ‘Killa’ Lee, brother of the Motown Phenom himself, UFC veteran Kevin Lee.

It will Lee’s Brave debut as he looks to bounce back from from a split decision defeate at the hands of John Sweeney for 864 Fighting Championship in March of this year.

Prior to that he’s picked up three TKO wins on the bounce over the six months from June to December 2017, having turned pro in January of last year after an undefeated amateur career.

“The bout will be highly competitive and will showcase two of the most promising talent with contrasting styles”, said Mohammed Shahid, President of Brave Combat Federation.

“Athletes from Philippines have displayed heart, commitment and skills which make them integral when Brave Combat Federation takes over the responsibility to bring the first ever global mixed martial arts event to the continent of Africa.”

“This is also an opportunity to give platform for athletes to showcase their skills around the world and to bring the martial arts community spread around the world closer.”

The last fighter from the Philippines to step out for Brave was Bantamweight champion Stephen Loman at Brave 13: European Evolution this past June. On a warm Saturday night in Belfast, he took a unanimous five round decision victory over Frans Mlambo to successfully defend his title.

Brave 14 takes place in Tangier, Morocco on Saturday 18 August.
