The Fan’s Fight of the Night for Brave 14 has been announced.
Brave President, Mohammed Shahid revealed the details in the wake of the promotion’s African debut.
Morocco’s own Ottman Azaitar, Brave debutant Jeremy Kennedy, Felipe Efrain and Djamil Chan were all in the running for the award, each making massive first round statements in Tangier.
Overall, seven of the nine fights on the card never got out of the first round, three of those wrapping within 60 seconds in an explosive night for Brave.
Brazilian bantamweight Felipe Efrain takes the honour for Brave 14, the second time he’s scooped the award. He previously collected the fight of the night bonus for his first round stoppage of Nawras Abzakh at Brave 9.
Efrain (13-3) put on a 40-second clinic in Tangier, demolishing Arnold Quero (15-7) in what looked with hindsight like a complete mismatch. Connecting with stiff jabs straight off the bat, a knee to the body (above) was the damage the set the win in motion.
The Sao Paulo native took to fight like a man possessed and had Quero out on his feet before the fight was called.
His performance put Efrain back in the win column following a loss to Frans Mlambo at Brave 10. Another win, and a shot at Stephen Loman could be on the cards.
Brave’s next outing is this Friday in Colombia for Brave 15. Fights are streaming on Flo Combat and Fite TV from 6/7pm.
