BAMMA adds Powell v Wooding to London card for September

BAMMA 31 adds bouts at Flyweight, Bantamweight, Lightweight and Middleweight for September’s Wembley card.

Jamie Powell, Dominique Wooding

Under two months out, the BAMMA 31 London card just added some hot bouts.

Having seen Daniel Barez take the European Flyweight title back to Spain at BAMMA 30, there’s more Flyweight action booked for London with two of the UK’s top 125ers squaring off.

Dominique ‘The Black Panther’ Wooding and Jamie Powell were announced on Thursday lunchtime with an early fight of the night label attached. The shots should be fast and heavy at Middleweight with Martin ‘Mantime’ Hudson booked to face Alex ‘The Mean Alabatross’ Montagnani who returns to BAMMA after a three year absence.

Hudson (4-3) was last in action this March for the vacant Lion Fighting Championships Welterweight title, dropping a submission loss to Alfie Davis in the first round.

The 6’3″ Montagnani will be a real contest, his 8-2 record packed with 6 knockouts. His last two BAMMA appearances produced wins against Nathan Jones (2014, BAMMA 15) and Tim Menzies (BAMMA Fight Night 2014) and his return to fighting in May of this year also yielded a decision victory over Shaun Lomas at Celtic Gladiator 12.

Also booked to fight at Lightweight are Ollie Mathis (1-3) and Nathan ‘The Black’ Rose (4-1) while London Shootfighters’ Javid Basharat (2-0) awaits a BAMMA debut for Tony Hall (3-3) at Bantamweight.

BAMMA London takes place at the SSE Arena, Wembley on Friday 15th September and tickets are on sale now from http://bit.ly/BAMMA31
