Petley v Goncalves, King v Reedman for BAMMA 31

The BAMMA London card keeps growing.

Two more bouts were announced on Tuesday afternoon with the featherweight meeting of Jeremy ‘Ninja’ Petley and Andre Goncalves while Tommy King and James Reedman will go toe-to-toe in a welterweight bout.

British-Canadian Petley (11-8-1) snapped a four fight losing streak stretching back to 2014 when he took a decision victory over Chase Morton on the prelim card at Bellator 179: Daley vs. MacDonald in May of this year.

His opponent, UK-based Portugese Andre ‘Tugapower’ Goncalves also bounced back from a loss before Christmas 2016 when he stopped Linas Meistavich in a lightweight bout, 47 seconds into round 1 of their Contenders Norwich 18 bout. Watch that fight below (skip to about 4.20 in to the start of the fight).

At welterweight, it’s the meeting of Tommy King and James Reedman.

Reedman (1-0) got his pro debut off to a flying start in March of this yea with a first round stoppage of Ukraine’s Ivan Golod with 8 seconds to spare at Budo Fighting Championships 18. King will be making his MMA debut on the BAMMA stage. Fighting out of Team King which he formed with his brother Louis in 2013, Tommy has a K1 record of 14-2.

BAMMA 31 takes place on Friday 15 September at the SSE Arena, Wembley, London. Bag tickets and more details here.
